Gestión del alta/tratamiento
Sobre todo en el momento de la intervención, los afectados se ven abrumados por una gran cantidad de información. Una situación nueva siempre requiere mucha atención para orientarse y tomar las decisiones convenientes. La rehabilitación posterior permite capacitar al paciente para enfrentarse con autonomía a situaciones cotidianas. Para ello, entre otras cosas, hay que elegir a un socio o un proveedor de recursos. La empresa FAHL quiere ser ese socio de confianza para los pacientes. Ya durante la estancia en el hospital, se debe elegir al proveedor de recursos para el tratamiento ulterior después del alta. En el hospital, hay diferentes proveedores de recursos entre los que elegir. Al elegir Andreas Fahl Medizintechnik-Vertrieb GmbH, comienza la preparación para el alta y el tratamiento posoperatorio. En una conversación previa en el hospital con el representante personal de ventas de la empresa FAHL, se explica detalladamente la nueva situación. La instrucción inicial en el uso de los recursos y dispositivos tiene lugar una vez se haya previsto el alta y la vuelta a casa. En nuestro kit de inicio, la persona afectada encontrará todos los recursos necesarios para el tratamiento del traqueostoma. Por supuesto, se concertará inmediatamente una cita de seguimiento con la persona de contacto correspondiente en el domicilio de la persona afectada. En casa, se responderá detalladamente a todas las preguntas individuales, se practicará el uso de los recursos y se analizarán los próximos pasos del proceso de rehabilitación. Es posible concertar más visitas directamente con la persona de contacto. Hay varias variantes de kits en oferta. La composición del kit inicial depende en cada caso de la prescripción médica disponible y de la aprobación de los costes por parte de la aseguradora correspondiente.
La instrucción sobre el kit inicial tiene lugar principalmente antes del alta hospitalaria. Así el paciente tiene ocasión de habituarse, estando en el hospital, a los recursos que necesitará en casa más adelante. La instrucción en el uso de los recursos la proporcionan asesores de productos sanitarios competentes y especialmente formados. También el personal de enfermería del hospital proporciona instrucciones útiles sobre cómo utilizar los distintos productos. Así, los pacientes aprenden a utilizar correctamente los recursos durante su estancia en el hospital. Los resultados son seguridad y un autotratamiento facilitado posterior en el hogar.
Tenga presente que las cánulas traqueales no suelen incluirse en el kit inicial. Dado que la conformación del traqueostoma es distinta en cada paciente, el médico primero debe adaptar y seleccionar en consecuencia las cánulas traqueales. Por lo general, el médico responsable del tratamiento le indicará y recetará, durante su estancia en el hospital, las cánulas traqueales necesarias. A continuación, le entregaremos las cánulas traqueales junto con el kit inicial.

New laryngectomy patients are inundated with information, especially around the time of their surgery. There is a lot that needs to be considered before informed decisions can be made. The post-operative rehabilitation process equips the new laryngectomee to adjust to their new situation and gain independence. To help achieve this goal the patient needs to decide, with the help of their clinician, which tracheostoma care devices they will need and which supplier they will work with. The FAHL company and their partners strive to become a provider of tracheostoma care products that you can trust from the outset.

The medical device supplier tends to be chosen during your stay in hospital so that you have everything that you require on discharge. In general, the new laryngectomy has a choice in terms of provider and their clinician can help guide them through the decision on which supplier to choose. Once in the community, your products will be sourced for example from a Dispensing Appliance Contractor who will be able to process orders and deliver the products that you need. You will discuss the choice of which products are appropriate with a member of the Speech & language/Clinical Nurse Specialist teams in the hospital pre-discharge. It is important to choose an independent Dispensing Appliance Contractor who can ensure that you get the choice of products that you require.
Our initial care package for you!
The most important aids for the initial care of laryngectomised and tracheotomised patients have been compiled in a set.
Various set versions are available. The contents of the initial care set in individual cases depends on the available medical prescription and the cost approval of the respective cost bearer.
Ideally, instruction regarding the initial care set takes place before the patient is discharged from hospital. This gives the patient the opportunity to familiarise himself with the aids he will need later at home while still in the hospital. Instructions on the use of the aids is provided by competent, specially trained medical device consultants. The nursing staff in the hospital will also provide helpful instructions on how to use the individual products. This helps patients to learn how to use the aids correctly during their stay at the hospital. This builds security and facilitates self-sufficiency at home later on.
We would like to point out that tracheostomy tubes are usually not included in the initial care set. As each tracheostoma is different in individual patients, the tracheostomy tubes are first adjusted by the physician and selected accordingly. The attending physician will usually inform the patient during the hospital stay which tracheostomy tubes are needed and prescribe these. We then supply the tracheostomy tubes together with the initial care set.
